How difficult is running for me?
Sometimes, running can feel like an impossible challenge.
Running is very difficult for me due to my birth defects including severe bilateral clubfoot.
For example, I can't stand barefoot, my heels have no fat pads so bone hits surface in each movement. This compounded with all soft and hard tissues below knees being deformed or missing, lots of scar tissue, patellas that dislocate, and no range of motion in my ankles and other joints makes just standing a unique challenge.
The Exosym devices I wear on my legs help to minimize my issues but running in the Exosym is difficult and nothing even close to a healthy human leg or prosthetic running blade.
